Jack Stel, CEO and PresidentJack Stel joined UtilX in January 2005 as its VP of International Business Development and was appointed as its President & CEO in June 2009. Since early 1998, Mr. Stel was a VP of European Operations and a VP of Worldwide Sales for a Silicon Valley-based global electronic components manufacturing company. Later, prior to joining UtilX he advised various other USA-based high-technology companies on international operations and business development. From early 1987, for a period of 10 years, he was the President and Managing Director of CEC Nederland BV (now Dalkia BV) in the Netherlands, a subsidiary of the energy services division of the French multinational Compagnie Generale des Eaux (now Veolia Environnement). Before then he held various senior executive positions with engineering and distribution companies in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Mr. Stel was educated in the Netherlands, holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and has extensive experience with Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He is a Chartered (Professional) Engineer, a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services, all in the UK.
James (Gus) Derezes, Vice President of Sales and Marketing Gus Derezes graduated with a BA degree in Business from Western Washington University in 1983 and went to work for Westinghouse in various roles in the sales and marketing division as well as distribution management. After serving at Westinghouse for 16 years, he joined UtilX in 1999 serving initially as the Western Sales Manager and is now the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He is an active member of the Western Energy Institute as well as a member of the IEEE.
Jason French, Vice President of Finance and Accounting Jason French re-joined UtilX in August 2010 having previously served as the VP of Finance & Accounting and Controller from 2004-2006, and currently has responsibility for the Finance, Accounting, Materials and Equipment functions at UtilX. Mr. French spent 10 years in public accounting in the U.S. and U.K. working for several public accounting firms including PricewaterhouseCoopers and Grant Thorton. Mr French's most recent 12 years have been in the corporate and non-corporate arena working as a senior level finance and accounting executive for manufacturing, distribution and software technology entities as well as at a large private foundation. Mr. French is a Certified Public Accountant in Washington State, a Chartered Accountant in the U.K., and has a BS degree in Economics and Geography from the University College of Swansea, U.K..
Kris Rubino, Vice President of North America OperationsKris Rubino joined UtilX in 1987 as a Field Engineer assisting in the design, development and implementation of its Directional Drilling technology. During his employment with UtilX he has also held positions within the Operations Group as Eastern Regional Director, Northeast/Midwest Operations Manager and Northeast Team Manager. Prior to joining UtilX, Mr. Rubino held engineering positions with Exact Equipment Corporation and Netzsch, Inc. Mr. Rubino graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
William (Rick) Stagi, Vice President Engineering William (Rick) Stagi (BSME), is currently Vice President of Engineering at UtilX Corp. There he oversees the company's research, development and engineering field support efforts for both the CableCURE® chemical injection and CableWISE® cable insulation assessment business units. Rick is an active member of IEEE, its' Insulated Conductor Committee (ICC) and CIGRE. He has authored many papers and lectured on the topics of chemical rejuvenation technology, cable neutral corrosion and cathodic protection schemes for power distribution cable. He has inventor status on 9 domestic patents either existing or pending. Previous to his work at UtilX, Mr. Stagi was the Owner/President of Stagi Engineering and Design, an engineering design group that performed prototype machine design and engineering services, nationally and internationally.
